Lots of the time, amulets, rings, weapons, and other belongings bear inscriptions. While some of the treasures in Dragon's Delve have detailed descriptions of markings or other inscriptions upon them, lots of treasure is simply "a gold ring" or a "magical amulet" with no special details. But details add a lot of atmosphere, even if they have no direct meaning.
